Ryan Giggs is hoping to revive his football career after today being cleared of allegations made by his ex-girlfriend. 

The ex-Manchester United player, 49, who left the Wales managerial job in the run-up to a World Cup while facing trial, has ‘unfinished business’ in the game, a close source said.

The former Welsh international is after being sensationally cleared of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Kate Greville, as she declined to co-operate with a retrial that was due to start later this month. 

He was facing charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm over an alleged headbutt on Ms Greville, 38, plus further counts of coercive or controlling behaviour against her and common assault against her sister Emma.

A source said: ‘His intention is to resume his managerial and coaching career.He’s got unfinished business in the game.
